Children have been coming through the Big Red Doors at Union Preschool since 1971. Now we are educating a new generation of Preschoolers coming through the freshly painted Blue Doors and into a newly renovated space at the same memorable location of 3543 Watson Rd. In the past 5 years, we have become our own corporation and 501(c)(3). We share our space with Oak Bridge City. We continue to carry on our original mission and provide an anchor of strength and stability for our neighborhood. We are dedicated to engaging and supporting young children and families. As we enter our 50th year as a neighborhood preschool, we wish to celebrate our past, present, and future families!
Our goal as a Preschool is to provide a loving, Christian, and all inclusive atmosphere. We engage our students in age-appropriate experiences to enable children to grow emotionally, socially, physically, intellectually, and academically. As a prospective parent we encourage you to contact us to set up a tour of our vibrant facility and to learn more about what we offer.
Here at Union Preschool we are sensitive to the 1 in 13 children who have life threatening food allergies. For this reason, we keep a peanut free campus. We make the well-being and inclusion for all our students a top priority.
Union Preschool Incorporated admits students of any race, color, national origin and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, age, color, national origin and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies and other school administered programs.
Our Early Childhood facility is set up with learning centers located in nine classrooms, the gym and the children’s garden. These centers include three art rooms, a library, a snack room, a gym and a playroom, a language arts area equipped with computers, a music area, a science and math area, and a role playing area. All of the areas are well equipped with a wide variety of materials and age appropriate play equipment.
Our comprehensive programs includes preschool classes for Threes and Fours, Junior Kindergarten, and January Threes. Additionally, we offer a Lunch Bunch and Summer camps. Our teachers have specific goals for each of their classes and constantly work to implement and achieve these goals. At each age level the teachers structure the curriculum to foster the development of important age appropriate skills. Every age level enjoys and learns through themed activities, the Artist of the Month, The Book of the Month, Nursery Rhymes, and Fairy Tales.
Union Preschool is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that is license-exempt with inspections by Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Those regulations include background checks on employees, and sanitation and fire inspections.
